Announcement of the NetsforLife® Inspiration Fund Campaign Advisory Committee
Episcopal Relief & Development is pleased to announce the NetsforLife® Inspiration Fund Campaign Advisory Committee. It is made up of a diverse group of individuals from across the Episcopal Church.
The NetsforLife® Inspiration Fund Campaign Advisory Committee is national body of clergy and laity. It will provide high level feedback on the tactics, direction, and strategy of the campaign while monitoring its achievements and challenges. Members will be providing meaningful outreach and serve as stewards for this campaigns.
This committee will be lead by our national co-chairs, The Right Reverend Michael Curry, Diocese of North Carolina; Laura Ellen Muglia, Diocese of Olympia; The Right Reverend Brian Prior, Diocese of Minnesota; and Ms. Barbara Senchak, Diocese of Newark.
The Episcopal Church initially dedicated itself to supporting the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) at the 2003 General Convention, and put its commitment into action in 2006 by endorsing the MDG Inspiration Fund, which raised over $3.2 million in three years. In 2009, the Church renewed its support of the MDGs by endorsing the NetsforLife® Inspiration Fund and contributing 0.7% of its annual budget to this sweeping national effort.
